The Orbit has been shortlisted for a (d)arc award!

We are pleased to announce that the outstanding façade lighting of The Orbit has been Shortlisted for ‘BEST EXTERIOR LIGHTING SCHEME ‘STRUCTURES - HIGH BUDGET’ category for the 2021 [d]arc awards.

Illuminating The Orbit fell to lighting designer Thanos Danilof and his studio DANILOF light + visual perception. illumination Physics are proud to have designed and engineered the custom lighting systems according to the specs of the lighting designer, and supplied the façade lighting for this project in conjunction with our partners in Greece, Luce Ataliotis.

Once the shortlist has been chosen by an international jury of independent architectural lighting designers, each of the 1,600 lighting design practices as well as architects and interior designers will be invited to vote on their favourite projects making this the only truly peer-to-peer lighting design awards in the world.

All independent lighting designers, light artists, interior designers and architects are encouraged to participate and to support the work of their peers.
